Hi, I’m Cath Corkill, one of the Director’s of Drop Zone. I’ve worked here since 2004 and have a vested interested in improving opportunities for young people across our local area. This includes our Pride event which is now 5 years old and is growing every year and has won a Diverse Cumbria Award. Our organisation is very unique and we advise and support other local organisations across Furness and sit on Furness Youth Work Partnership, which collectively supports, children, young people and families. In my spare time I love travelling and walking a lunatic Bassett Hound.

HI, I'm Sue Johnson, one of the Director's of Drop Zone. I have been a youth worker for nearly 30 years, firstly in Merseyside and then with Drop Zone Youth Projects since Mar 2005. My work with DZ began as a project worker and I then moved into management. I am proud to say that during that time the organisation has supported 1000s of young people across Furness. Each day brings a new challenge and young people remain central to all we do, this ethos is what continues to motivate me in my work. I love the fact that as Directors we are still able to work directly with young people and we are now seeing the next generation access our services. I have yet to meet a young person with no potential and strive to support equal opportunities for all. I am a football fan and support Everton for my sins but always keep an eye on how Barrow are doing. I enjoy the sunshine which we don't see much of in the North West and have a love of art and travel.

Hello! My name is Jamie and I'm currently a Youth Worker at Drop Zone however have previously had involvement with all aspects of delivery. I'm originally from South Manchester, having moved to the area seven years ago to pursue a different and more positive lifestyle. I am self employed and run my own painting company. I also work as a mountain leader, regularly travelling around the UK to guide people up our fantastic mountains and outdoor environments. I've travelled all over the world mountaineering and trekking. I'm passionate about helping young people strive for their dreams and being a role model. I have worked with and continue to support a diverse set of groups. I enjoy doing this work and I'm proud to say much of which has been in a voluntary capacity. Drop Zone is a major contributor in supporting me to engage with people and help improve all our lives.
