Drop Zone runs an extensive extended education provision, supporting young people who find mainstream education difficult to engage in. We offer tailored packages of learning to help young people to develop their skills and get ready for their next steps.
We work with small groups supporting GCSE work, functional skills and exam preparation. We also deliver a wide range of subjects through NCFE, including Maths, English and ICT as well as ASDAN Cope and a selection of ASDAN short courses
We encourage all our young people to get involved in community initiatives to improve their confidence and self esteem and to work on important life skills such as communication and problem solving, this year we were able to take part in Printfest and showcase some of our young peoples amazing artwork.
We encourage agencies to share their knowledge and skills with young people who take part in workshops with organisations such as the NHS, The Wildlife Trust and Cumbria action for sustainability.
We have our very own on site workshop where young people can develop new skills and expand their projects and learning
Young people take part in initiatives to become more active, taking part in sports and leisure activities improving their overall health and well-being.
